 Job Description

Snap Bar opened in 2014 as a premiere, luxury photo sharing service in Westchester County. Snap Bar is driven by trends in the entertainment industry and can be differentiated by innovative technology applied to an open-air layout. The recent addition of GIF functionality to the photo booth has put a spotlight on the Snap Bar brand leaving consumers wanting to know, “what’s next.”

Snap Bar has begun the process of designing the next photo booth prototype (our third!) with the hope we will add the value our clients crave to enhance their photo sharing experience. The prototype is still in the early development stages and Snap Bar is looking for a team member with a brain full of exciting, futurist ideas to catapult our business further into the future.  At this time, we are looking for an intern to be such a team member.

The intern will be expected to accompany their supervisor and/or support staff to Snap Bar events and observe the behavior of event-goers and interact with them to determine what additions the photo booth might benefit from. This will be the main responsibility of the intern.

At the close of the internship, the intern will be expected to compile their findings and present viable business options as well as suggestions to finalize the photo booth prototype to Snap Bar staff.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Internship will take place from February 2 – May 4, 2015

    • Intern may create his or her own schedule, minimum of 15 hours per week

    • Minimum of 8 hours per week must be spent on site at the Snap Bar office

  • Assisting staff at Snap Bar functions with event set up/clean up, clientele maintenance and photo distribution

  • Updating the Snap Bar gallery and writing blog entries on the company website as well as all social media sites

Qualifications

•             Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

•             Familiarity with Mac preferred

•             Must have own transportation

•             Graduate student preferred; college seniors considered

•             Must provide writing sample, topic of applicant’s choice

To apply, please forward resume, letter of interest and writing sample to:
